Brooke Astor's Red Library At Her New York City Duplex



Brooke Astor's famous Red Paneled Library in her New York City duplex. Brooke Astor was the the third wife of millionaire Vincent Astor and the last Prominent American Astor. In 1997, she liquidated and shut down The Astor Foundation, a charitable organization founded by her husband, which she served as president for over 35 years. She, like her husband's grandmother, served as Queen of New York City Society and had many prominent friends, some of which included: Nelson, Laurence and David Rockefeller, Louis Auchincloss, Ronald and Nancy Reagan, The Henry Kissengers and Annette and Oscar De La Renta.
